This article describes how to install and use Online Meeting bot with Microsoft Teams. This integration allows starting or joining a meeting through Microsoft Teams.
Once the Bot is installed by Admin, in order to use it you will want to add it from the available apps:
Once the Bot is installed, the following commands can be used in the private chat with the Bot.
Note: if you use a channel/private chat with other users, you need to mention the Bot first before the command:
To log into your Online Meeting client account, open up the private chat with the Bot and type login. Hit Enter and you will receive a message from the Bot with a Sign in button. Click on Sign in to open Login form and fill it out with the credentials. Once submitted, the form will be closed automatically and you will see the Bot's message You are now logged in.
If @OnlineMeeting login command is used in a team/private chat with other users, you will see two messages from the Bot: Log in using the personal Bot to get started message sent via the team/private chat with other users, and Type 'login' to log in message via the private chat with the Bot.
Once logged in, you can start a meeting by sending meet command. Press Enter and the Bot will reply with the meeting details:
If @OnlineMeeting meet command is sent via a team/private chat with other users,the Bot will reply in both chats. In the team/private chat with other users you will see the reply with the following details:
The message from the private chat with the Bot will look as follows:
Type help to receive the full list of commands that can be used with the Bot.
To log out from your Online Meeting account, open up the private chat with the Bot and type logout. Hit Enter and the Bot will reply with You have successfully logged out. Come back soon! message.
Q: I received the message from the Bot: Sorry, I don't understand you. Use 'help' command to see what I can do for you. What does it mean?
A: This message means that the invalid command is entered. Make sure you are typing the supported commands.
Q: I received a message stating that my session has expired. What do I do?
A: If you have stayed logged in for more than one day, and you are trying to use any command, the Bot will notify you that the session has expired. You will be automatically logged out, and you will want to type login command to log into your Online Meeting account again.
Q: I cannot find the Online Meeting Bot in the list of suggestions when I type @ sign. How do I find it?
A: In case you try to mention the Bot in the channel or private chat with other users and you cannot see the Bot under the list of suggestions, type @ sign and click on Get bots option. Select Online Meeting Bot in the pop-up menu and the field will be automatically prefilled with a command to mention @OnlineMeeting Bot.
